It is suitable for the care of all skin types and especially sensitive skin.
Recommended by dermatologists. The first soap factories were established in Spain and Italy in the 12th century, then in Marseille in the middle of the 15th century. It is assumed that Aleppo soap is the origin of all these European soaps. In the Middle Ages, the traditional soap recipe as we know it today was created by adding lime to the leached ash.
This technique developed over the following centuries in Marseille and the Midi thanks to the abundance of raw materials available in this region: olive oil, salt and ash from the sea asparagus – Salicorne de Camargue. Later, palm oil and coconut oil from the colonies were added to refine the original recipe.
In the 19th century, Marseille became the main production site. The city gives its name to the manufacturing process with more than a dozen soap factories. Marseille soap is natural and completely biodegradable.
